The subject that opens doors

Despite what many believe, History is not just about learning about the past.  It’s also about learning
skills that employers are looking for in today’s young people:

  • The ability to extract relevant information from passages.
  • To understand that things shouldn’t be taken at face value.
  • To question what they might read, see or hear.

The Past is the Key to the Present

Learning about the past is an integral part of History.  In knowing where we have come from,
students will have a better understanding of the world around us, including conflicts, social aspects
and technology.
