Modern Foreign LanguagesModern Foreign Languages at Ashford Christ church prides itself on the achievments of our linguistic students. Bienvenue! Bienvenido!All pupils from Year 7 Learn French. Both French and Spanish are offered at G.C.S.E. level. Within Modern Foreign Languages pupils practise speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in both French and Spanish. The teaching methods that we use are interactive and engaging. We want students to enjoy learning new languages! Language learning helps with other school subjects, encourages open-mindedness and widens career choices available to our students. At Modern Foreign Languages we also organise and manage residential trips to Hardelot, Northern France annnually during the Summer Term, this aids immensely in learning French and provides an excellent practical experience to fully enjoy French in its native flavour. Allowing us to embed understanding of key grammatical concepts and vocabulary as well as developing the four basc skills of language learning.
